There are many ways to get good use out of cookies when managing a website.

The General Data Protection Regulation comes into force on 25 May 2018 and we do all we can to comply with this and to ensure that your data is only used for the purposes for which we have your consent.

As a part of this, we try to offer maximum transparency so that you can see how we collect and process your data.

It is important to understand that you are always welcome to write us with questions regarding our cookie and data protection policy.

We only collect data for which you provide your consent when you visit our website.

We may ask for:

  • “Personal data” – personal data are data that can identify you as a person or which may be unique to you. This could be your name, your email address, or your telephone number.
  • “Other information” – this could be things such as your company name, the industry you are active in, or the browser you used to visit our website.
  • We generally do not collect “Sensitive data”. This includes data regarding your personal views, religious belief, race or ethnicity, etc. If we should do so, we will inform you unequivocally before you are asked to supply any such data.

How do we collect the data?

We collect data in to different ways: Directly and indirectly.

  • If you respond to surveys or the like from us

Indirect data is automatically collected when you visit our website. The first time you visit our website (and many other websites) you give your “OK” to the use of cookies. These cookies help collect data about your movements within our website and services. This could be, for example:

  • Traffic data (digital)
  • Location

Among other things which cannot identify you as a person, but help us to know how many visitors we have to our website, how many have been in touch, or how many have made a purchase, for statistical purposes.

We are unable to identify individuals with this data, which is automatically transferred to the programme “Google Analytics”, about which you can read more here: Google Analytics

If you should ever want to see a list of the cookies that we (and others) use, you can find guides for various browsers here: Manage Cookies

Why/how do we use the information we collect?

There may be many reasons why and how we use the data that we collect. A couple of reasons are:

  • To create a better experience at our website. We may look at your movements within our website in order to later update it to make it easier for your to navigate.
  • It could be to show you marketing content for one of our products at some other time or via a different medium. It may also, conversely, be to exclude you from our marketing if you have already purchased our product.
  • To be able to respond to your communications to us.
  • To know how many daily, monthly, and annual visitors we have to our website.

There are lots of reasons for collecting data, and generally speaking it is to try to improve our business so that we can always improve the experience for customers/visitors to our website.
